The Position

The Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for leading our team of sales professionals and add to the fast-growing client base. By partnering with leading brands and agencies, the Vice President, Business Development will be responsible for identifying opportunities, presenting our value proposition, increasing loyal customer use, meeting sales and profit goals, and working with the client relations department to ensure continued client satisfaction. In doing so, the Vice President, Business Development will be responsible for achieving revenue expectations and growing SheSpeaks by expanding the client base and deepening continued use of our products with current clients.

This key leading position will directly report to the CEO.

Responsibilities

· Deliver profitable revenue growth to the company
· Identify and develop new clients and categories
· Develop incremental business with existing clients by introduction of new products with each brand
· Support the creation of new client propositions with the marketing department
· Build a network of relationships with key influencers in the industry to ensure SheSpeaks has strong share of mind, including agencies, analysts, and media
· Lead the business development team by managing the recruiting and training of a high performance sales team
· Lead, by example, the fundamentals of excellent client service
· Participate in management meetings to help guide the company growth and priorities
· Cultivate key agency relationships
· Source, develop and manage strategic relationships for future business development opportunities for the company

Qualifications

· Must have a minimum of 7 years of business development selling in word of mouth, new media, and/or agency focusing upon leading consumer brands
· Demonstrated ability to motivate, recruit, and manage a high-performing team
· Must have experience in the sales steps of moving a deal to close
· Experience in high growth environments, fast-changing environments
· Demonstrated success in selling to senior industry leaders and leading brands
· Demonstrate the creativity to identify problems and focus upon solutions based on client needs, SheSpeaks capabilities, and the power of the SheSpeaks network and our member base
· Is a natural team player, who will represent the voice of the client but is the leader of the sales team to grow the revenue base
· Strong belief in the power of the women’s market, women’s voices, and the development of a new marketing channel
