The Media Guru breakfast series is going to kick off 2009 with a very provocative speaker — author and commentator Michael Wolff whose biography of Rupert Murdoch, The Man Who Owns the News, is making news itself. (Here’s the link from the New York Times book section last weekend. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/28/books/review/Carr-t.html?_r=1&scp=2&sq=Michael%20Wolffe%20Rupert%20Murdoch&st=cse)

Join us on Tuesday February 3, to hear Michael answer questions about the book, about News Corp and really about anything you want to ask on news and media in general. Michael is one of the country’s most prominent writers in the media space. He is a two-time National Magazine Award winner and is currently a columnist for Vanity Fair. He has been widely anthologized and his work has appeared in numerous publications, including New York magazine, where he was also a long-time columnist. Wolff was an early Internet pioneer, chronicling his experience in his best selling book Burn Rate which was the tale of the birth of the Internet industry and the rise and fall of Wolff New Media, the Web business he founded.

Media Guru breakfasts are off the record and have no speeches or Power Point presentations; they are in a fireside chat format. The breakfast takes place at The Harvard Club, 27 West 44th St. (between 5th & 6th), New York . It starts at 7:30 a.m. and the speaker at 8:00 am and ends promptly at 9:00 a.m.

To sign up for the breakfast, go to our web site, www.quantummedia.net , and just follow the Media Guru link.
