Position Description
AllianceBernstein is one of world’s largest asset management firms with almost half a trillion dollars in assets under management. Our venture capital team uses thematic research to drive mid to late-stage investments in the TMT, life sciences and cleantech/generalist sectors. Our TMT venture capital portfolio includes numerous market-leading companies such as: Brightcove (online video); Hillcrest Labs (digital home); JumpTap (mobile advertising); Obopay (mobile payments) Pure Digital (maker of the Flip camcorder); and Visible World (intelligent TV advertising).
The Technology, Media & Telecommunications Venture Capital Associate has a broad range of responsibilities:
- Researching emerging trends across the TMT landscape
- Building and maintaining financial models
- Market, company, financial and technological due diligence
- Tracking new investment opportunities
- Portfolio analysis & fund management
- Collaborating on internal initiatives and projects for existing portfolio companies
The candidate should have:
- MBA from a top university
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
- Ability to work independently and productively
- Experience should include: (1) at least 2-3 years experience in Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Equity Research, Private Equity, or Strategic Consulting; and (2) at least 3-4 years experience working in or covering technology, media and/or telecommunications
