Associated Content: Director, Business Development

Description:
Associated Content seeks an experienced, talented business development leader who will create and expand content distribution relationships with premier media companies. These relationships will increase exposure for the company, drive incremental traffic to our site, and result in incremental revenue. This position will be based in our New York office.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Build target prospect list; research and understand prospective partner needs and objectives
  • Research and interpret prospective partner needs; create value proposition for prospective partners that directly addresses their needs
  • Employ company’s assets, including both content and technology, to deliver against value proposition
  • Create and maintain effective presentation materials that underscore core value proposition
  • Initiate relationships with key prospects via outbound calls and email, conference attendance, and networking
  • Consistently meet with and present business strategies to VP, SVP, EVP, and C-Level executives within prospective partner organizations
  • Draft proposals, negotiate term sheets, and execute contracts with new partners
  • Understand and track evolution of competitive landscape; revise partner offerings to maintain best-in-class offerings
  • Build long-term, renewable relationships with customers
  • Manage team towards achievement of stated revenue goals
  • Update progress towards revenue targets in Salesforce database

Registration is now open for LaidOffCampNY, a free two day gathering of individuals in professional transition who are looking to gain new perspectives, discover new passions, and/or reinvent their career.  It’s a self-organized conference that features an open, participatory forum designed to educate, empower, and connect community members through discussion.
