Hartnick Search seeks candidates for the following:
A nationally ranked and recognized online marketplace is looking for a New York City-based Chief
Financial Officer to oversee its financial management and reporting, IT, facilities management, human
resources, investor relations, and legal functions. The CFO would also be an integral part of the
company’s capital raising initiatives.
Financial Management and Reporting
Manage all accounting and financial policies and processes including:
• Managing all internal financial reporting, SEC filings and SOX documentation
• Measuring and forecasting company performance metrics including debt
• Engaging and coordinating with outside tax, accounting and legal firms
• Formalizing and implementing expense, capital and purchasing policies
• Optimizing accounts receivable/payable and the cash cycle
• Managing annual budgeting process with Department heads and CEO
• Overseeing company risk management and insurance coverage
• Managing treasury, cash management and banking functions, including debt facilities
• Performing quarterly stock option valuations prior to IPO and managing overall option program
• Completing IPO when market conditions are favorable.
• Managing the Vice President of Finance
IT
• Oversee prioritization of IT projects
• Analyze and support existing and future infrastructure, network and data center needs
• Oversee department staffing needs
• Manage the Vice President of IT
Facilities Management
• Manage properties, fixed assets, security and landlord negotiations for leases in New York and Texas
Human Resources
• Manage employee health and benefit plans
• Review and finalize company employment, work and employee policies and procedures
• Maintain standard employee hiring and integration processes
• Maintain quarterly and annual review processes and any required disciplinary processes
Investor Relations
• Manage public news releases and financial reporting and presentations to investor and analyst
communities in conjunction with external public relations firms
• Provide financial content for IR Website
Legal
• Standardize legal contract review, signing and accounting
• Review legal contracts and/or coordinate outside review
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
• Worked in a senior executive role at a public company within financial services and/or ecommerce,
• Demonstrated business planning and budgeting skills,
• Significant Internet experience, and
• Managed technology and debt.
An MBA and/or accounting degree as well as IPO experience preferable.
