Registration is now open for LaidOffCampNY, a free two day gathering of individuals in professional transition who are looking to gain new perspectives, discover new passions, and/or reinvent their career.  It’s a self-organized conference that features an open, participatory forum designed to educate, empower, and connect community members through discussion.

Friday evening‘s program will begin with a Keynote, followed by our “Hacking The Job Search” panel, and ending with a 90 minute “Transition Networking” reception.  We expect Saturday’s sessions to explore a variety of topics, including building your personal brand, transitioning to a new industry, alternative income sources, strategies for successful interviewing, finding affordable health insurance, alternative working spaces, and how to become a freelancer.
