The company has some great traction, with advisors that include the global head of marketing for Century 21 real estate and discussions with leading VC’s and leading members of the New York Angels organization.
We are an exciting digital media company focused on the hyperlocal space and neighborhoods. We have several high profile advisors from the real estate and travel industries and are currently building the beta version of the site. The company will also soon be releasing fairly awesome Facebook and Mobile applications.
We are looking for an ex-banker to act as part time CFO to relieve the founder of several finance functions. Estimated time commitment is about 5 hours per week. The position is for one year but there is potential for an extension or for something permanent if both parties agree. A rising 2nd year MBA would be ideal as this is a great opportunity to gain experience in a real internet startup and meet vc’s and industry players.
Responsibilities will include:
· Maintaining and updating the financial model for the company
· Researching and updating comparable private and public company valuations and transactions
· Meeting or speaking with venture capital investors
· Researching and updating business financial assumptions
Requirements:
· Must have completed a top investment banking analyst program
· Experience with financial forecasts
· Experience with valuation and transaction comparables
· Experience in Internet media, Real Estate, Travel, or Publishing a bonus
· Positive attitude and team player – no egos
Because we are currently fundraising the compensation will be in the form of equity.
The right candidate will receive Founders shares in the company. Start date is as soon as possible.
