Lifestyle Group Digital Solutions Director will be responsible for the development, creation and management of all marketing & sales material support for the fast growing Time Inc Lifestyle Digital (TILD) online advertising business, primarily focused on RealSimple.com and the MyRecipes food network.

Director serves as a consultant and partner with digital Ad Sales, Marketing and Brand Development teams across titles, ensuring that research results are appropriately packaged, disseminated and leveraged both internally and externally. Liaison between Lifestyle Digital Group & Time Inc.’s Research & Insights Department; ensure that syndicated and primary research for Ad Sales is coordinated and managed for the group of brands from a digital perspective.

Specific Responsibilities:
Insight Development and Utilization
• Develop all pro-active marketing materials and collateral for digital sales force from General Presentations, one sheets and research reports. Communicate capabilities to advertising marketplace
• Leadership for insuring that consumer and marketplace insights across a broad range of categories drive TILD approach to sales with clients and guide ideation for programs/proposals including Time Inc initiated market studies. Serve as ambassador within all the titles to be sure digital initiatives are included within individual brand research efforts: such as (RS) Problem Detector, annual signature research and other proprietary studies.
• Collaborate with the brands online and print ad sales teams to develop compelling sales proposals and presentations for clients.

Syndicated and Primary Research
• Utilize syndicated studies such as Nielsen, @plan, Comscore, and more to establish TILD’s position in the marketplace.

• Serve as the category expert and have a firm handle on the current competitive landscape including traffic, demographics, research and sales opportunities.

Oversight of sales development team; Serve as leader within the team. Consult, collaborate and brainstorm with sales development team on big ideas and how to present them in a proposal for biggest impact.

We are looking for self-starter who thinks creatively and strategically, and has very strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

Skills and Experience:
Position requires candidate to have excellent analytical capabilities; ability to derive insights from research; strong presentation and ‘story-telling’ skills; understanding of Digital Media, Publishing, Consumer Marketing, and editorial functions; Experience with cross-platform media preferred; familiarity with a broad range of primary research approaches and advertising/media research (i.e. Media Metrix, Nielsen NetRatings and @Plan, Omniture); ability for innovative and creative thinking; proven writing skills; good management skills; ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously; desire to work in fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment. Solid computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are also needed.

It is expected that the Digital Marketing Director will have at least 10 years of digital media experience, involving high-level contact and relationship building (internal and external). Four-year degree required; advanced degree preferred.
