It’s time for the 2nd Annual Digital Media MBA Career Event! It’s confirmed for MONDAY APRIL 12th on the roof of the Hotel Gansevoort, at 6 pm!
Over the past several weeks we have been working with participating employers to gather MBA-level job opportunities and distribute them to members of Columbia Business School’s Technology Business Group (TBG), Media Management Association (MMA), and the Columbia Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO).
The response from companies and students alike has been tremendous. We have some truly exciting full-time and intern positions, offered from industry leading companies like TheLadders.com, AOL and Interactive One as well as from high-profile startups such as foursquare and bit.ly. While job candidates and companies will continue interviewing in the days leading up to and following our Career Event, the cocktail party is a chance for everybody to get together for a couple of hours of networking and fun — MBA students, execs from hiring companies, as well as other members of the local digital media community. Meet students that weren’t on your interview schedule. Exchange business cards with leaders from other innovative startups, and digital media executives froma variety of industries. Enjoy the open bar and maybe find some compelling business opportunities at the same time. Nothing’s out of bounds.

Event Details
This year we’re thrilled to have a keynote speech from Marc Cenedella, CEO of TheLadders.com. He has a great perspective on the current recruiting environment for MBAs in the NYC digital media market. Here’s the schedule for the evening of April 12th:
– Doors Open: 5:30 pm
– Keynote Speech: Marc will begin speaking shortly after 6 pm
– Cocktails Served: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm (open bar)
After the complimentary drinks are served, there will be a cash bar so everyone can continue networking and enjoying the Gansevoort Hotel rooftop!.
